My Profile Picture

I took a picture from an event and added a cartoon like filter on it. I then masked out the background space and added a special gradient based on the colors in my outfit. After adding a light border, I added blend modes to different layers to help the piece mesh together better. I also played with the color balance to add further details.

Cover of lesson book comic I designed. Everything but the musical notes were designed from scratch. I used various layers to separate the sketched characters, their base colors, highlights and shadows, and any other effects. I also used blending modes with each layer to help bring the image together.

I am not the original creator of the Eastern Michigan University or SAG Logos. The eagle was hand drawn, scanned, and later colored with GIMP. I also used blending modes to meld the eagle in with the background of the flyer.

Erza Scarlet - Fairy Tail

This is not an original character but a free hand drawing of Erza Scarlet from the anime Fairy Tail. I scanned my drawing into GIMP and added color, highlights, shadows, a background, and lighting effects. I also used a blending mode to add a light gradient to my drawing.

Grace Cathedral Youth Choir Flyer - V2

This is a flyer I created for a church's youth choir. It details information about the rehearsals for the program, the program date and time, and rehearsal days. I used a transparent gradient to create the cross glow and a blending mode to blend the flyer's colors in with a reddish hue. I also added a candy cane border to represent the Christmas holiday season.
